About the store
I have taught all levels of English/Language Arts to grades 9-11 in a public school setting (special ed, on-level, honors, and Advanced Placement), and am the District Instructional Coach for E/LA (K-12). I work with teachers to increase student learning by ensuring best practices by modeling instructional strategies, and sharing original curriculum. I have facilitated numerous professional learning sessions at the Region IV ESC Reading/Writing Conference, Region IV Alternative Certification classes, and at the district and school levels. Sessions include: "Writing a Delectable Expository Essay", "The Presents of Poetry", "Investigating Inferencing", "Playing Around with Plays", "A W.O.R.L.D of Learning Taking Place", "The First Days of School", as well as numerous others based on the needs of staff.

Teaching style

My teaching style is very hands-on, project based learning. Typically students will begin with a warm-up (15 minutes), be involved with a literature lesson (15 minutes), then finally engage in their respective project of choice for the remainder of the class time. Even if you have state mandated skills to teach, such as I do in Texas, you will find that these projects listed will typically incorporate an average of 20 required skills.
