Strategy for writing helps students to organize their writing based on text they have read. This writing strategy can be used for: a single paragraph, multiple paragraphs by completing S.E.E. again, writing based on a single text or multiple texts, students to write about their opinion or argument, or students to write an explanation or an informative piece.

A highly effective instructional resource to teach students different ways to write the first-sentence of an essay so that they grab and hook a reader's attention with an incredibly fantastic first impression. The slides include examples and sentence frames for writing a hook sentence. This activity is intended for grades 2-8, but could be used with students in high school as well.

Sound Sorter Vowel Sounds- Students can identify the vowel sound. Place the word or object inside the column with the matching letter sound. This activity can be done independently in a center or during small group, differentiated instruction. The sound sorter helps to develop student's phonics and phonemic awareness skills. This activity can also be taught to ESOL and ESE students.
