A one sheet organizer to guide students with peer editing each other's writing. Can be used for any type of writing (narrative, informative, opinion/argumentative). The acronym facilitates students effectively peer editing classmate's work constructively. the sheet can be used for students 2nd-12th grade.
Teachers can use the letter tiles to have students practice their phonological awareness skills. Students can practice independently, with peers, or with the teacher. Letter tiles can be used to practice single letter sounds, combination of letters, phonemes, word building, digraphs, blends, and spelling. Tiles are good for listening activities for students to tell the difference between sounds as well. If tiles are laminated, students can also use a dry erase marker to practice writing letters.

An Effective Method to Help Students with their Text-based Writing: Opinion/Argumentative or Informative. The S.E.E. Strategy for writing helps students to organize their writing based on text they have read. This writing strategy can be used for: a single paragraph, multiple paragraphs by completing S.E.E. again, writing based on a single text or multiple texts, students to write about their opinion or argument, or students to write an explanation or an informative piece.
A highly effective instructional resource to teach students different ways to write the first-sentence of an essay so that they grab and hook a reader's attention with an incredibly fantastic first impression. The slides include examples and sentence frames for writing a hook sentence. This activity is intended for grades 2-8, but could be used with students in high school as well.
Sound Sorter Vowel Sounds- Students can identify the vowel sound. Place the word or object inside the column with the matching letter sound. This activity can be done independently in a center or during small group, differentiated instruction. The sound sorter helps to develop student's phonics and phonemic awareness skills. This activity can also be taught to ESOL and ESE students.
