Strategy for writing helps students to organize their writing based on text they have read. This writing strategy can be used for: a single paragraph, multiple paragraphs by completing S.E.E. again, writing based on a single text or multiple texts, students to write about their opinion or argument, or students to write an explanation or an informative piece.

The slides include examples and sentence frames for writing a hook sentence. This activity is intended for grades 2-8, but could be used with students in high school as well.
