About the store
I have been teaching for 11 years. I began my teaching career teaching at American International Schools in Venezuela and Colombia. I lived in South America for 4 years. Afterwards, I moved back to New York. For my first two years in New York I taught 1st garde in a charter school in a low-income area of Brooklyn. I am now currently teaching at the elementary school that I attended as a kid out on Long Island!
I have my undergrad degree in childhood education and ENL. I also have a minor in, and speak, Spanish. My master's degree is in literacy education (b-6). I am certified in NY for early childhood, childhood, literacy and ENL. I am also in a building and district administration program to get my sbl/sdl license.

Fractions Centers
Here are a few centers to help students begin to understand what fractions are and how to write them. Some are black and white and some are colored. Centers are appropriate for grades 1-3 depending on what topics are being covered. Place Value Interactive Notebook
This is a simple, fun, interactive notebook set to help young students learn about place value in 3-digit numbers. There are ELEVEN different foldable activities that cover base10, standard form, written form, word form, and expanded form in place value. Many of these foldable activities have multiple pages with different numbers so students really get to practice.

This is a 30 page document that contains worksheets to practice base10 (up to 3 digits) and expanded form (up to 3 digits) There are 10 worksheets for each topic. There is also a short quiz included on each. Finally, there is a review sheet and two test versions (in case a student needs to make up the test) that include all information about base 10 and expanded form practiced in the worksheets.

Simple Christmas Addition/Subtraction
This is a short packet made for kindergarteners to practice basic addition and subtraction. All equations involve numbers 5 and under. There are both number sentences and story problems so students can practice in a variety of ways. The graphics are black and white so that children can do some fun Christmas coloring after they practice their math.
