In this false interactive tutorial students will learn how to write method signatures and method bodies for constructors, accessors and modifiers. There is one additional section for a method that has both parameters and a return type. Each section has a tutorial and a practice quiz.

This is a collection of classes that revolve around a Batteries interface. I use this as the sample that I give to students. I assign them to create their own collection of classes using an interface of their choice.

Teaching style
I center much of my teaching style around discovery learning. Give the students the tools they need and lead them to the path. The level of understanding is much deeper if they find solutions for themselves.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Students have won/placed at numerous competition including Johns Hopkins Robotics competition, U of Maryland High School Programming Competition and SMECO Southern MD computer bowl.
2009 Outstanding Educator Using Technology Award from MICCA (Maryland Instructional Computers Coordinators Association)
Developed a website for student help with Algebra that was recognized by the National Education Association and was awarded 5 star excellence by “The School Page”.
