This science activity is designed to support teaching the concepts of mixtures, physical properties, and solutions through the use of chromatography. It can also be an introduction to molecules as students will observe colors moving at different speeds and at different distances due to the size of their molecules. Teaching style
My teaching style varies, depending on the students and the specific topic being taught. However, I prefer to use issue-based and inquiry methods, such as project-based learning. I am not a pure constructivist, as I believe students need a foundation of basic knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts. However, I subscribe to the philosophy that students need to make meaning of their learning through actual experimentation and analysis.
