Covalent Compounds Tarsia Puzzle

This is a quick and easy way to review naming rules for covalent compounds. The first puzzle piece is marked with a heart. After that, students have to cut out the triangles and arrange them so that all the names and their formulas match up. This typically takes 20-25 minutes, including time to cut the pieces. Atomic Theory Task Cards

Atomic Theory Task Cards are a great way to review scientists and their models. I like to print them out, slide them into sheet protectors, and hang them out in the hallway. I have a bin of clipboards that the students use to write on. Optional: Download the ZipGrade app and scan the papers as students are finishing. Once done, come back into the classroom and go over their most missed questions. This provides immediate feedback and allows you to reteach content as needed. Scientists Covered: D
