This wallet-size card allows people to ask for more time to speak and understand, and gives the person they are speaking to some education about aphasia. An additional card to write in contact details is included if these are challenging to communicate verbally.
The University of Queensland's MESSAGE resource provide easy-to-understand strategies and examples for communicating with people with dementia. Doctors Conway and Chenery evaluated the MESSAGE communication strategies in 2016 and found it increases knowledge and confidence to those who provide care for people with dementia.
