About the store
I have 9 years of experience in Elementary Education. For the past 8 years I have worked in a Certified position in a 2nd grade classroom. The school I teach shifted into Personalized Learning several years ago. Previous to certification, I worked for 2 years in Special Education Classes with students with mild to severe disabilities.
My first experience with teaching students was when I got out of high school. I joined an Elementary Music Team Assembly Program called Primary Focus. I spent 3 years on assembly teams performing in over 1,000 elementary schools with a character building program called the "Six Pillars of Character."

Go Paperless!! This FREE Math Mix covers Quadrilaterals in Keynote. This activity is very engaging with students. The students enjoy these Keynote activities on their Ipads. I have also added Magic Move to every slide so once the students manipulate the second slide of each activity, the shapes move from where they started to where the students put them. Keynote Math Mixes - Place Value 3 Levels of Learning
Go Paperless!! This Math Mix covers Place Value in Keynote. This activity is very engaging with students. The students enjoy these Keynote activities on their Ipads. I have also added Magic Move to every slide so once the students manipulate the second slide of each activity, the shapes move from where they started to where the students put them. This is compatible with Keynote, NOT Power Point.

Money Math Mix - Coins and Dollars in Keynote - Apple App
Money, Money, Money.... MONEY! You might be singing the song right now. Here is a 6 slide Money Activity for students. It has 3 levels of Money learning to show you where each student is. This also uses Magic Move on the the first slide of each level. This means that students will be able to see where the money started and then the money will "slide" to where the student moved the coins. Could be used as a fun activity and as an assessment.

Teaching style
I am NOT a lecturer. I like my whole group teaching time to be interactive. Students frequently do "turn-and-talks" with neighbors around them so they all get the chance to share.
I like to give small mini-lessons and then allow the students to experience learning for themselves. I like to involve Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic experiences as well.
I use a mix of teaching whole group and having students practice skills on their one-to-one iPad devices.

I love music. I used to sing in a music group and in church.
My favorite sport is basketball.
My favorite hobby is playing board games. Not like Monopoly though, I am talking about really fun, but more obscure board games along the lines of Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan.
