Catch students' attention before they come into your classroom that your class is fun and interesting.  Students often research teachers prior to coming into their classes.  Oftentimes they will request a particular teacher.  Help make your class attractive both outside and inside the classroom by having a great opening digital visual that will lure them in.  This Google slide is an eye-catching, animated slide ( click here to view it in real life) to embed as an opening page for your classroom

Additional biographical information

I teach plant identification classes in the summer months. I have a beautiful wife and six lovely children. I raise bees, love to garden and enjoy the outdoors in the summer months. I also love thinking of ways to stimulate student interest and learning in all subjects.
