Great graphic organizer for students to use when solving systems of equations. Also, has a checklist of steps for students to use while solving. Helps to keep solving systems organized so students do not get lost when solving.
Students will begin the discovery of the distance formula using the Pythagorean Theorem. This activity works well when having students work independently for 3 minutes. See how far they can get on their own and then partner students up to work together and collaborate. After a few more minutes have partners team up with other partners to finalize any gaps. Call on students to check for understanding or to cover any misunderstandings.
Students can practice creating and analyzing equations to determine the number of solutions. Page 1 is for explanation or notes. Page 2 is for practice.
Have your students practice with word problems using tables, graphs, or equations. For each problem, students will start with either a table, graph, or equation and will be using the information provided to complete a table, graph, and equation. They will also be answering an application question as well.
Here is the .doc version of the Solving Systems by Graphing worksheet. These allows students to keep their work organized and neat while talking one of the hardest topics in Algebra...SYSTEMS! With the editable version you can create your own additional problems or even modify it to use it for a quiz or test. Works great with students with an IEP as it gives them structure to this multistep solving process.
This is a graphic organizer created to help students solve system of equations using the graphing method. There is a space provided for students to show their work when they convert equations to slope-intercept form as well as a space to write their solution.
