Students work independently or in groups to unscramble three challenging identities. Each individual step is on a different strip of paper so that students can manually manipulate the order of the steps. Once the steps are in the correct order, I have them either copy them into their notebook or paste them on a sheet of construction paper. Then, they are to add the verbal explanation for each step of the identity proof. This is a great hands-on activity to allow students to look at trig identity

This is a 12-question Solving Trig Equations worksheet. It can be used as a matching worksheet or with Versatiles (not necessary). The types of equations include basic, factoring, Pythagorean substitutions, and multiple-angle equations. I use is as a review before a quiz or test. I love that my students know right away if they have made a mistake because they don't see their answer among the choices.

After student have been introduced to the basic trig identities (reciprocal, quotient, Pythagorean, even/odd, co-function), I have them use their identities sheet to find answers to complete the worksheet. The worksheet has 4 parts of varying difficulty. The first two part are basic find-and-copy type questions. The third part has students starting to manipulate and rearrange the basic identities. The fourth part is a slight challenge to really get
