This resource contains a link to the reveal video which uses time-lapse photography to quickly show the number of cans and bottles displayed. A google slides file showing the actual data I collected when I completed this in real life is included also so that students can calculate the actual unit rate and see how close their estimation was. What is it?Students estimate from pictures and use their estimation to calculate a unit rate of the dollars per hour they would earn if they put themselves in the scenario. They make sense of a problem and persevere through solving it. Google slides guide and scaffold their work and understanding while the google forms are used for student input and easy teacher viewing/recording of progress and completion.
