Students will work to create a device that keeps an egg safe when dropped from different heights. Eggs can be dropped off tables, countertops, or even the roof! This project is to be primarily completed at home, so that students may use materials from around their house. Depth and Complexity icons are embedded in student work pages.

Help students explore gravitational forces through this hands-on engineering challenge. Students can complete this project individually, in pairs, or in teams. We have done this project with materials in class and also as an at-home project. Both work great! The mission is to create a lunar lander that will protect the cargo onboard (an egg) and keep it crack-free. Students will put their lander through numerous trials (recording sheets included) as well as spend time reflecting and address
