Tunnel your way through this mini enrichment project. Learn about the habitat, species, environmental impacts, and societies of the prairie dog. Students can continue on to the extend your learning section if he/she would like to become a prairie dog expert.

Research the lungs and how they help us each and every day, and then show what you learned about these hard working organs. The resources for research are included. There is an option to take the learning to the next level by working on a critical thinking activity.

This mini research project is perfect for the student who wants answer the questions "How do creatures produce light?" or "Why do creatures produce light?" This mini project starts with the child gathering background information using the included research sources. Then the child will show what he/she learned. There is also an option to stretch the learning with a more advanced research project.
