Common Core Math Review Activity
This carousal Post-it review can be used to review domains or modules, 1-4 of the common core NY State 6th grade math curriculum. These domains include Ratios and Proportional Relationships, The Number System, Expressions and Equations and Geometry. Each question reviews a different domain using multi-step problems. Activity Sequence Copy each page of questions on a separate color. Put students in groups of four. Hand out one page of questions to each student in the group. Have the students

I have twelve years experience teaching sixth grade. In that time I have taught ELA, social studies, science and math. I also taught gifted and talented for two years.
Teaching style
I approach teaching with a balanced approach. I integrate reading into all of the subjects and believe all learning styles must be addressed during a unit. In ELA and math I utilize flexible guided groups and differentiate through instruction and the level of the content. I really strive to make experiences authentic for the learners so they are engaged and want to continue the learning process.
