This unit focuses on the Stone Ages and Early Cultures prior to the development of permanent settlements. The unit starts by looking at the stages of the Earth's development and the development of the early human ancestors. The unit looks at the Paleolithic Age and the hunter/ gatherer societies and how they survived with simple stone tools. The unit transitions to the Mesolithic Age with some advances in tools and weapons. Finally, the unit focuses on the great Neolithic Revolution and Age. The
