Teaching style

My style of teaching incorporates just as my art does many different styles. First and foremost I keep up with current trends and advancements in the field using technology and making the information given out to students readily available through things like blogs, wikis and websites for the class itself. I also keep my lessons with the more advanced students more about a technique rather than a particular subject matter. This keeps the students interested because it is what THEY want to do, rather than what they have to do. Students discovery process is what is truly fascinating and what helps us as educators to keep advancing rather than getting stuck in ruts.

Additional biographical information

I am a full time artist/illustrator/web designer besides teaching art classes to a variety of students. My students range in ages from 12 to students in their 60's. I have experience working with students but more importantly out side experience with real clients, which also keeps me current in the market. I am different from other posters on this site because my knowledge of art techniques is more than the norm. I specialize in forgotten techniques in art that are not only a beautiful art form, but also a way of introducing students to history and culture along the way. These techniques for the purposes of these lessons and workbooks have been simplified but can be taken more advanced through contacting me for further demonstrations. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME ABOUT ANYTHING I POST HERE. I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP
