Before we enter debates or controversial topics. We address what a fallacy is. Search: Love is a Fallacy-- short story by Max Shulman. This is a great way to introduce students to logic with some humor. I use this as a read aloud. As you read, students will write the definitions of each of the fallacies presented. First day of class activity!  Do you hate going over the expectations-- definitely not my favorite task.  This is a fun way to introduce the class to SCIENCE.  They have lots of equipment they are responsible for, so getting familiar with the classroom is great.  I use this activity every year and it never gets boring!
