I began my teaching career in a 6th grade classroom half way through the school year. I then taught fourth grade for two years, first grade for three years, and am currently teaching kindergarten. At my previous school, I was the k-2 math lead and wrote the first grade math curriculum. Last year I was the Education Specialist at my current school, but I missed the classroom too much. Experience

Teaching style

I am a very hands on learner and teacher. Everything I put in front of my students is something they can interact with and learn from. I teach at a project based school, which means everything we do is inquiry based.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I published my first paper this year and have traveled around the country sharing my work at educational conferences.

My own education history

Additional biographical information

I love my husband, Disneyland, music, baseball, and cheery jolly ranchers (the long tick ones that are hard to find).
