I am an 18 year veteran elementary teacher. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades; K-5 Technology and Special Education. My current roll is as a K-5 Technology Specialist. My schedule an alternate week schedule where one week I work with students and the other week I offer technology support to teachers in grades K--5. Decorating Writing Notebooks Instructions
This is a letter I send home on the first day of school for parents to get ideas about how we decorate our Writer's Notebooks to use in the classroom. This helps parents as they assist their child in gathering materials to bring to school to decorate their Writer's Notebooks for Writer's Workshop. The decorations on the notebooks often can become seed ideas for students needing topics to write about during free write opportunities.

Teaching style
As a classroom teacher, I taught using a lot of hands on activities and integrated technology as much as possible. As a technology teacher, my role is shifting from direct instruction to serving as a facilitator of student learning.
