Make writing fun for students with this “lucky”, four-leaf clover, writing template and really get them thinking about what it means to “be lucky”. Great activity because the "filling in the blank" style allows it to be geared towards multiple ability levels and age groups. Once you finish the writing activity, cut it out, paste to green paper and add some gold glitter to turn into a cute bulletin board for March! Find many more ideas and uses on page 2 of this product. Get your class together with their “new looks” to create pictures for a bulletin board or to put a class picture in their Memory Books for the end of the school year! The image is a cartoon groundhog holding a wooden sign that reads " _________ is having a great groundhog day!". Students write their names on the blank line and can enjoy wearing their hats when they learn about Groundhog Day. I always used the black and white option and had the students spend time color and decorating their hats. After that we glue them onto sentence strips or long pre-cut construction

Students draw lines from the groundhog to his shadow first and then connect other objects to their matching shadows. I also have students color the pictures as well. Additional biographical information

I come from a looong line of teachers in my family and I am proud to keep that tradition going. Being able to help others and use my creativity in an occupation was always a goal of mine and being an educator allows me to do both of these things and so much more. In my "personal life", I am married to a wonderful man and I am the proud mommy of two beautiful girls. I joined this website to share ideas and to help bring in some extra money for my husband's recent kidney transplant. I hope everyone can get use out of my products! *On a side note ... if anyone ever needs any Clipart created, my hubby and I are fairly artistic and can and will draw almost anything that you may be in need of for an activity. I have not posted any for sale yet because I have so much, but let me know if/what you would be interested in :D
