Monster Hat Ending Sounds Practice

Created by
Krissy Smith
A cute activity for students to practice their -at ending sounds. A group of friendly monsters are running late for a party and they have lost their party hats! Students color and cut out all the hats that have an "-at" picture on the hat and glue it to the monster's head. For a great extension: flip the handout to the back and using the extra non "at" word pictures, students get to draw two monsters of their own and then glue the hats to their heads and write down the ending sounds for each pic

Groundhog Day Puzzle

Created by
Krissy Smith
A fun and educational fine motor skill activity for students to complete on Groundhog's Day. Students will color the picture of the groundhog first and then cut out on the dashed lines. We reassemble our pieces on a color piece of construction paper. Once students have a few times to put their puzzles back together, I put them in a ziploc bag with their names on it and send them home at the end of the day. A fun game to play with a partner too!

A handout that is great for students to work on during St. Patty's day or any other time during March. It helps focus on skills relating to similarities and differences and fine motor skills. Students love to color Larry the Leprechaun and have fun finding all of his "friends". Printable is also available in my store in color if you are interested. Hope you enjoy!

Teaching style

Creative, hands-on, fun, effective and educational learning atmosphere is very important to me! Students learn best when they are doing something new and interesting. Make every day a special one! Caring and nurturing, but believes in a strong classroom management plan. With structure and clear rules any student can "behave" and be respectful. Emphasizes students showing respect and manners in and out of the classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Graduated college with Honors.

Additional biographical information

I come from a looong line of teachers in my family and I am proud to keep that tradition going. Being able to help others and use my creativity in an occupation was always a goal of mine and being an educator allows me to do both of these things and so much more. In my "personal life", I am married to a wonderful man and I am the proud mommy of two beautiful girls. I joined this website to share ideas and to help bring in some extra money for my husband's recent kidney transplant. I hope everyone can get use out of my products! *On a side note ... if anyone ever needs any Clipart created, my hubby and I are fairly artistic and can and will draw almost anything that you may be in need of for an activity. I have not posted any for sale yet because I have so much, but let me know if/what you would be interested in :D
