Monty Hall Problem - Group Activity
Students work in groups to figure out the answer to the Monty Hall Problem (you know, from Let's Make A Deal.. 2 goats, 1 car... ) You will need cards for each group: 2 number cards for the goats, 1 face card for the car. Basic probability and converting (fraction, decimal, percent) as well as critical thinking and reflection. I highly recommend finding a good Let's Make A Deal or Monty Hall YouTube video to show as an introduction for the activity. BUT - don't reveal the answer ahead of time!!

Make Your Own Word Problem!
Students work in groups to solve 2-step equation with rational numbers. Once they have solved and checked, they brainstorm a story or situation for the problem. They work together to create a word problem for the equation. Then they present the word problem, equation, and solution to the rest of the class. (8 pre-made equations included)
