A fun project for practice or assessment of Ratios, Rates, Proportions. Students are planning a road trip, considering and calculating for: -locations -distances -map scale -gas mileage -rental car pricing -hotel pricing -food pricing -time spent traveling Included are step by step instructions, prices, map. Students will need a ruler. It is based on Lancaster, PA but can be adjusted for any continental US city.

Project task using inequalities - writing, solving, graphing, and interpreting. Editable in Word to change to local-to-you amusement parks. (Full disclosure: I only loosely based the rules and prices on the real info!)

Great ice-breaker type activity for the beginning of the school year! Also a great way to introduce new vocabulary! (Maybe add extra prep time for the groups to look up the new vocab word.) Includes directions and pre-made word cards. Word doc is editable to change to vocab of your choice! (Or alter direction as you need.)

A fun, interactive project (or alternative assessment) for the Pythagorean Theorem. The project is specific to my school and city, but it is a Word document so you could easily edit and adjust it however you'd like! Students use the map to measure then use Pythagorean Theorem to do calculations in order to compare a messenger pigeon to walking.
