If you're looking for some great end of year fun activities, this is for you! One of the last days of school we enjoy doing some fun, outside activities with our students. We like to create a little bit of competition among the classes as well. You will find descriptions of each of the activities as well as a schedule that will help you get an idea of how much time each set of events will take. I really hope you enjoy this as much as we do!

This assignment allows students to practice finding perimeter and circumference of a variety of shapes. The first page provides the shape and students are required to provide the formula, the work, and the answer. The second page is word problems representing real-life situation where students will again need to provide the formula, the work, and the answer. The third page is a basic answer key. The fourth and fifth pages are detailed answer keys that students could use to check their own work.

This is a project that I have my students do the first week of school. It is a great ice-breaker type assignment. Students will work to create a collage about themselves to share with the class. This allows the teacher to get to know the students better and it allows students to identify common interests with their peers, especially students who are new to the school.
