I have been teaching math for 7 years and I have experience in both 7th and 8th grade math. I am incredibly passionate about standards based grading and providing an equal opportunity for every student to learn regardless of where they are in their math learning journey.

I use Standards Based Grading because it allows every student to choose the level of difficulty at which they are comfortable proving they can be successful. I also engage every one of my 70+ students every week during individual Student Conferencing.

Highly Effective Teacher Rating 4 years in a row; more than two standard deviations above student expected growth; I was chosen to be a part of a team of Highly Effective teachers by Battelle for Kids to develop a system of teacher self-assessment. We developed a system of creating professional development plans with a team of peers.

I am a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and I have gone on to continue my education at Ohio Dominican University.

I am very passionate about young people and making sure that each and every one of them know they are capable of learning. If you see something you would like to have adjusted, please let me know.
