About the store
I graduated with my B.S. in Elementary Education in 2014. My student teaching experience was in kindergarten. Following graduation, I worked briefly as a teacher assistant before accepting my first full-time position as a second grade teacher. I looped with my first second grade class and have been in third grade ever since! I've loved watching my students grow and learn and look forward to what lies ahead!

Very Hungry Caterpillar Day Morning Work

Our kindergarteners celebrate Very Hungry Caterpillar Day on March 20! Since this is such a big event for our class, I created this short morning work sheet for students to use during our short morning work time. The worksheet contains missing phonemes and blank addition problems for students at a kindergarten level. This is leveled work and can be completed independently. When students are finished, they can color the butterflies and foods that the butterfly ate through.

Standard and Expanded Form Match and Sort

I use this as a small group activity. Students are to match the standard form number with the expanded form number and put them under the appropriate categories. I printed the cards on colored cardstock and laminated them to keep and use in my math centers to help students practice with converting 2 and 3 digit numbers into expanded form. If you enjoyed the use of this product, please leave a rating and comment! I love to hear how other teachers implement products in their classroom!

How to use: Students are given two dice. They are to roll the dice and add the two numbers. After adding the numbers, they color the answer. As an extension, I had my students write the equation in the shamrock with the sum. This is a kindergarten aligned activity for mathematics.
