Keystone Supplement: Perimeter and Area of Rectangles with Polynomials

This is a digital activity! Students can type their answers into the google slides. The worksheet has 7 problems on the front of finding area and perimeter of rectangles and squares when the sides are 2-3 termed expressions; some of those include diagrams and some are descriptions where students have to draw the rectangles being described. There are questions where students have to add a frame to their rectangles and find a new area and perimeter. The last 5 questions are the "for what value

This is not for the faint of heart! This is for students who are experienced with solving equations with variables on both sides. As the slides go further and further, the problems get more difficult. I have used this as a review game or as an activity right before a break. The game is played like BINGO. Each slide has a problem that students work through. Students cross off their answer (answers are from -12 to +12). The first person to have bingo is the winner. I have played to get a double b

This activity can be used with the NCTM illuminations website where students can explore what happens when you make changes to the equation. Students can immediately see those changes. The activity is a presentation where students have to identify the changes in each graph based on period, amplitude, or shifts (up and down only). From there, students can work with a partner to determine what they think the equation would be. Students can check their equations by using the illuminations website u

This slideshow takes you through several examples of how to convert from slope intercept to standard. It goes through the steps of how to rewrite the equations when there are fractional coefficients and it has them rewrite so that A is always positive (in Ax + By = C). The slides are animated and take you through the process mathematically and in words. Great to reinforce learning before independent work or as a quick whiteboard practice. If you teaching virtually, students could use this as a "

Graphing Sine Functions! (Amplitude and Shift up/down Only)

In the first google slide activity, students try to figure out the equations of the sine graphs (2 changes only...amplitude and shift up/down). This is the teacher version, so make sure to make a student copy and delete the answers at the end. These are great for students who are still working through these processes. All graphs are shown through 360 degrees. This is the first of 2 slide activities that I do with my students. The second one is listed separately. It has 3 changes: amplitude, shif

Digital Activity Systems of Inequalities

This can be thought of as a digital worksheet. There are 4 problems per page, and each problem's answer is a moveable graph on that page (20 problems total). Students can finally hone in their skills to better understand this process. Each inequality is graphed in red and blue; the overlapping region will be in purple (and there are a couple of "no solutions" thrown in here as well). This is a "drag and drop" interactive activity. The problems are designed to have students focus on the aspects

Writing the Equation of Sine Functions 2

In this activity, students explore graph of sine functions and try to identify the 3 changes (period, amplitude, and shift up/down) in order to determine the equation of the graph. Students usually do this in my class as a partner activity at first. This brings about great conversations on patterns that they may notice in finding the equations. This is the teacher version, so it has the answer key at the end. There are 8 slides for students to analyze.

Permutation or Combination Practice

In this google slide presentation, students are posed with different scenarios and need to decide if it requires a permutation or combination to solve andthen find the answers. These bring about great conversation so that students have a better understanding of the difference between permutations and combinations.

This is a google slide presentation that could be used with students in the face to face setting or virtually. It has a reminder for virtual students to do their attendance in google classroom (completely editable). It has a slide for each day of the week, plus a slide for the week at a glance (with movable, colorful buttons), and a slide for the month at a glance (again with the same colorful, movable buttons). It's a fun theme with a very cute font.

The answers are animated so that after showing the question, when you click on the slide, the answer appears. There are 9 problems which is great for a short in class practice
