This performance task asks students to multiply, divide, compare fractions, tell time, add, subtract, and more. It is designed to help increase the stamina of students in preparation for the Smarter Balance Assessment performance task.

Multiple-step and interdependent problems to target fractions for fifth grade test prep. DOK Level 3

In this task, students will be asked to solve a series of problems using the four operations with whole numbers and decimals to the hundredths. This task involves multi-step and dependent questions that involve all basic operations and comparing unit fractions. It also asks students to identify and solve a real-world problem of not having enough of something.

This five-part task asks students to reason which payment plan would be the best to save money, multiply whole number and decimals (money), and find patterns in numbers, all the while explaining their thinking. Great practice for SBAC and building math stamina!
