This performance task asks students to multiply, divide, compare fractions, tell time, add, subtract, and more. It is designed to help increase the stamina of students in preparation for the Smarter Balance Assessment performance task.

This task involves multi-step and dependent questions that involve all basic operations and comparing unit fractions. It also asks students to identify and solve a real-world problem of not having enough of something.

This task mimics the look of the Smarter Balanced Performance Task for 5th grade and asks students to answer DOK 1, 2, and 3 level questions. Great to prepare our students for the SBAC.

To be used for SBAC test prep, specifically the performance tasks. The questions ask students to use fractions to determine the amount of paint needed to paint several rooms of a house, as well as agree or disagree with the reasoning of another.

I've noticed most kids have area/perimeter down when the problem states outright "Find the area/perimeter." However, I've found they struggle much more when given a scenario that doesn't tell them which to find. So I've created a set of ten that not only challenge them to determine which one to find, but also have multiple steps.
