This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the directions, a slide with a completed example, and 2 slides with 5 cut-and-paste questions each. The problems present students with 5 tables per slide, and they will cut and paste tiles from one slide to another in order to identify how the y-values are changing (for example, that the first difference is 2) and what type of function the table represents. This produ
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the directions, a slide with a completed example, and 2 slides with 6 fill-in-the blank-answer questions each. The problems present students with 6 graphs per slide, and they must type in the word "linear," "quadratic," or "exponential" in the corresponding blank over to the side. This product was made on PowerPoint and transferred to Google Slides as background pho
This is a great reinforcement activity for multiplying radicals. Students will need to multiply and then simplify their answers. The rectangular boxes are the questions to be simplified, while the arrows are the answers that you follow to get to the next problem. This activity includes numbers, variables, and the distributive property, but it is a PowerPoint, so questions can be edited. Also includes an answer key.
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the directions, a slide with a completed example, and 2 slides with 4 fill-in-the-blank questions each. The problems present students with 4 word problems per slide, and they will identify whether the problem would be best represented by a linear, quadratic, or exponential function by typing in a blank. Students do not solve the problems. This product was made on Pow
This Google Sheets activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains two lines of directions, one example problem, and 6 practice problems for students to complete. The problems require students to identify the slope and y-intercept of a line when given two points by substituting values into the slope formula and point-slope formula and then converting the equation to slope-intercept form to write the equation. This product was made using condition
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the directions, a slide with 10 problems, and a slide for students to submit a photo of their work - great for distance learning (but can easily be deleted if you do not want it).The problems require students to substitute the point and the slope into the point-slope formula and the convert the equation to slope-intercept form for the final answer. This product was m
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a drag-and-drop graphic organizer and 3 matching activities. For the matching: 7 problems where students match a description of transformations to an equation, 4 problems where students match a description of transformations to a graph, and 7 problems where students match an equation to a description of transformations. This product was made on PowerPoint and uploaded to Google S
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the directions, a slide with a completed example, and 2 slides with 5 drag-and-drop style problems on each. The problems present students with an equation, and they must drag a tile labeled linear, quadratic, or exponential beside the equation. This product was made on PowerPoint and transferred to Google Slides as background photos, so the only parts that students
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the answer key (make sure to delete this slide before sharing with students!), a slide with the directions, 2 slides with a completed example, and 1 slide with 9 puzzle pieces and a template for students to drag-and-drop them into. The problems present students with various multi-step equations where they must distribute or combine like terms. There are no variables
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the answer key (make sure to delete this slide before sharing with students!), a slide with the directions, and 2 slides with 6 problems each. The problems present students with various equations with variables on both sides. All equations contain only integers. The problems increase in difficulty, with some requiring that they combine like terms, use the distributi
Contains about 27 problems on polynomial operations and classification based on degree and number of terms. Also includes word problems and short summaries of how to solve the problems in each section. The sections were divided according to my textbook but could easily be removed or edited in the Word document. Corresponds to my FREE "Classifying, Adding, Subtracting, and Multiplying Polynomials Jeopardy" on my TPT store ( https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Classifying-Adding-Subtractin
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the answer key (make sure to delete this slide before sharing with students!), a slide with the directions and 9 problems, and a slide instructing virtual students to submit a photo of their work. The problems present students with various equations with variables on both sides. All equations contain only integers. Students will decide what type of solution they have
This Google Slides activity is a great distance learning activity that was designed for my Algebra 1 class! It contains a slide with the directions, a slide with 7 problems, and a slide for students to submit a photo of their work. The problems require students to use the product rule of exponents and the distributive property to multiply a monomial by a larger polynomial. The problems increase in difficulty, but do NOT require students to combine like terms at the end. This product was made on Pow
A stations activity where students had to factor problems using various methods. I gave students about 10-15 minutes at each station, which had 2-6 questions based on the type of factoring. The stations include factoring with GCF, factoring difference of squares, factoring trinomials with a=1, factoring trinomials with a > 1, and factoring by grouping. The last 1-2 problems at the stations require the students to first factor out a GCF and then use the other technique, so I had to keep remind
Row game that has students solve the equations in their column, checking their answer with a partner. Then, students will collaborate to graph the solution set on a number line. Includes 10 questions for each partner.
This tarsia puzzle requires that students students cut out the pieces and solve the 8 numbered problems, then glue the side with the problem so that it is touching the side of a different piece with the corresponding solution on a separate piece of paper. This resources includes problems that would need to be factored by GCF, difference of squares, or trinomials with a leading coefficient of 1. This is a great self-checking activity for students to do!
An activity where students will add and subtract polynomials and multiply binomials only (not larger polynomials). They will cut out the "domino" pieces, gluing the answer to the problem next to the question, moving on to the question connected to the answer next. Students will add/subtract/multiply for 5 problems total. Was a great, quick, self-checking review for my students to do before a quiz!
This activity requires students to cut out 9 multi-step equations and match them to the given table based on whether they have one solution, no solutions, or infinitely many solutions. The questions with one solution will be matched based on the solution to make the activity a little more self-checking for students.
This is a Google Slides Jeopardy game that reviews classifying, adding, subtracting, and multiplying polynomials. The template is from Eric Curts (ericcurts@gmail.com - www.ericcurts.com). I used it for my class as a way to review before our test!
