This is a great reinforcement activity for multiplying radicals. Students will need to multiply and then simplify their answers. The rectangular boxes are the questions to be simplified, while the arrows are the answers that you follow to get to the next problem. This activity includes numbers, variables, and the distributive property, but it is a PowerPoint, so questions can be edited. Also includes an answer key.
Contains about 27 problems on polynomial operations and classification based on degree and number of terms. Also includes word problems and short summaries of how to solve the problems in each section. The sections were divided according to my textbook but could easily be removed or edited in the Word document. Corresponds to my FREE "Classifying, Adding, Subtracting, and Multiplying Polynomials Jeopardy" on my TPT store ( https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Classifying-Adding-Subtractin
A stations activity where students had to factor problems using various methods. I gave students about 10-15 minutes at each station, which had 2-6 questions based on the type of factoring. The stations include factoring with GCF, factoring difference of squares, factoring trinomials with a=1, factoring trinomials with a > 1, and factoring by grouping. The last 1-2 problems at the stations require the students to first factor out a GCF and then use the other technique, so I had to keep remind
Row game that has students solve the equations in their column, checking their answer with a partner. Then, students will collaborate to graph the solution set on a number line. Includes 10 questions for each partner.
This tarsia puzzle requires that students students cut out the pieces and solve the 8 numbered problems, then glue the side with the problem so that it is touching the side of a different piece with the corresponding solution on a separate piece of paper. This resources includes problems that would need to be factored by GCF, difference of squares, or trinomials with a leading coefficient of 1. This is a great self-checking activity for students to do!
An activity where students will add and subtract polynomials and multiply binomials only (not larger polynomials). They will cut out the "domino" pieces, gluing the answer to the problem next to the question, moving on to the question connected to the answer next. Students will add/subtract/multiply for 5 problems total. Was a great, quick, self-checking review for my students to do before a quiz!
This activity requires students to cut out 9 multi-step equations and match them to the given table based on whether they have one solution, no solutions, or infinitely many solutions. The questions with one solution will be matched based on the solution to make the activity a little more self-checking for students.
A worksheet that contains various problems on evaluating, simplifying, and writing expressions with variables. Also contains two vocabulary-related questions on terms and coefficients.
