About the store
With over a decade of experience in both teaching and leadership roles, I’ve dedicated my career to creating meaningful collaboration between students, educators, and community partners. As a Student Services Coordinator, I’ve developed programs that not only improved academic achievement but also supported behavioral growth by leveraging the strengths of the people I work with. My teaching experience spans grades 4 through 8, where I’ve designed community-focused curricula rooted in the Universal Design for Learning framework and project-based learning. These efforts have brought learning to life by connecting classroom content to real-world experiences. Beyond the classroom, my leadership focuses on empowering both educators and students through innovative resources and evidence-based teaching practices. I’m passionate about creating resources that help improve teaching and positively impact student outcomes. Thank you for visiting my Make Ed So Store—I’m excited to support your educational journey with resources designed to make a lasting difference.

SIMPLE Digital ELA Notebook

Created by
Make Ed So
Help your students organize their reading and writing notes using this digital notebook. This is a very simple Google Doc that will help students who prefer to take notes in reading and writing in a digital format instead of with paper and pencil. There are three links to help them organize their reading, writing, and other notes. This is a great scaffold for students to learn simple digital organization. It also makes it super easy to keep track of their work, when shared with Google Classroom.

Teaching style

As an educator, my goal is to create culturally relevant learning experiences that inspire students to become lifelong learners. I use project-based learning to foster an interactive environment where risk-taking is encouraged as part of the learning process. In my classroom, curiosity is not only valued but also nurtured through hands-on experimentation and discovery. I believe that strong learning experiences come from having a well-organized space and routines that support the needs of diverse learners. I’m also passionate about helping students grow by building a strong classroom community and encouraging continuous reflection and goal setting.

My own education history

My educational background has been key to shaping my approach as both a teacher and a leader. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from San Diego State University and a Master of Education in Cross-cultural Teaching from National University, San Diego, where I developed my passion for creating inclusive, culturally relevant learning experiences. I also earned a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School, which has been instrumental in helping me grow as an educational leader. Additionally, I hold a Multiple Subject Teacher Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and a Standard Teaching License in Elementary Education K-6 from the Hawai'i Teachers Standards Board, allowing me to work with a wide range of students across different grade levels. These experiences have all played a role in shaping my commitment to supporting both students and educators through meaningful, collaborative work.
