Differentiation equals success for all. Not every student learns at the same rate and has the same abilities. Learning can occur at many different levels, and it is vital that all students grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. I offer different levels of tasks and assessments to ensure success for all students and make myself available to help in any way possible. I will continue to research and create new and better ways of allowing my students to reach their full potential and am always seeking innovative ways to help students succeed in my classroom. Not only do I want them to be successful, but I want them to enjoy learning along the way.
I model the importance of education by constantly furthering my education as well. I am proud to have earned a marketing degree, an early childhood education degree, a middle grades education degree, a master’s degree in early childhood education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and my gifted endorsement.

Transformations on the Coordinate Plane Interactive Lesson
This is a 31 page power point with detailed guided notes and examples that can be used in the classroom as a note taking method, differentiation, or resource for classwork. Answers are included and would be a great resource for interactive notebooks! I am really trying to teach my students how to take math notes, and this is a great way to do just that! This includes linear, quadratic, cubic, absolute value, square root, and rational functions. There are graphs and notes on each function. The notes for each function include domain, range, interval of increase or decrease, extrema, end behavior, x intercept, y intercept, rate of change, and symmetry.

Characteristics of Parent Functions
I looked all over for a chart that shows the characteristics of the parent functions and did not come up with anything that included everything I needed so I created this chart. It is six pages with each parent function on a separate page. The characteristics are domain, range, interval of increase, extrema,end behavior, y intercept, x intercept, rate of change, and symmetry. Rational Number Operations Interactive Notes
This study guide includes everything for pemdas, decimals, fractions, real numbers, operations with integers, clue words, and properties. I use these as interactive note taking for my students at the beginning of the year and refer back to them throughout the year many times.

Plotting Points on a Coordinate Plane - Notes
This is a color coded cheat sheet of the coordinate plane and how to plot the x and y coordinates. It is a necessary skill to develop in middle grades math in order to be successful in algebra. This is a great reminder for test prep!

Teaching style
I use a variety of teaching strategies in my class. Projects, games, and interactive activities are just a few of the strategies I use. DIFFERENTIATION IS KEY!!!!

Additional biographical information
I taught in elementary and middle schools for 30 years. The last seven years I was instructional lead teacher. More recently, I have gotten certified as a behavior therapist working with autistic children.
This has lead me to write and publish books that I searched for and could not find.
