Differentiation equals success for all. Not every student learns at the same rate and has the same abilities. Learning can occur at many different levels, and it is vital that all students grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. I offer different levels of tasks and assessments to ensure success for all students and make myself available to help in any way possible. I will continue to research and create new and better ways of allowing my students to reach their full potential and am always seeking innovative ways to help students succeed in my classroom. Not only do I want them to be successful, but I want them to enjoy learning along the way.
I model the importance of education by constantly furthering my education as well. I am proud to have earned a marketing degree, an early childhood education degree, a middle grades education degree, a master’s degree in early childhood education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and my gifted endorsement.

Clue Words
This is a document that will allow the students to know exactly which clue words are commonly used in algebra and which operation matches those clue words. It is very easy to understand this chart, and it is extremely helpful when teaching translating verbal phrases into algebraic expressions. This is also helpful in lower grades when teaching translating a word problem into a math sentence in order to solve the word problem.

Coordinate Plane Graphic Organizer
This is a graphic organizer that I made for my students' interactive notebook. The students label each part of the coordinate plane and have visual clues to help them. This is a great review before moving on to graphing points, graphing lines, transformations on the coordinate plane, etc.

This is an activity that I created for my students to find the mistake in the equation that has been solved incorrectly. I used common errors when creating the solutions to help them see the mistakes commonly made. There are two different levels of activities so that you can differentiate the lesson. The Murder of Al Gebra: an equation murder mystery
This is a murder mystery that groups must solve using clues that they earn by solving equations. Characteristics of Parent Functions
I looked all over for a chart that shows the characteristics of the parent functions and did not come up with anything that included everything I needed so I created this chart. It is six pages with each parent function on a separate page. Passing Notes - an Integer Operations Activity
This is a task I created for my students to practice integer operations. I uploaded it as a word document so that you may change it to meet your needs. I taught in elementary and middle schools for 30 years. The last seven years I was instructional lead teacher. More recently, I have gotten certified as a behavior therapist working with autistic children.
