Differentiation equals success for all. Not every student learns at the same rate and has the same abilities. Learning can occur at many different levels, and it is vital that all students grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. I offer different levels of tasks and assessments to ensure success for all students and make myself available to help in any way possible. I will continue to research and create new and better ways of allowing my students to reach their full potential and am always seeking innovative ways to help students succeed in my classroom. Not only do I want them to be successful, but I want them to enjoy learning along the way.
I model the importance of education by constantly furthering my education as well. I am proud to have earned a marketing degree, an early childhood education degree, a middle grades education degree, a master’s degree in early childhood education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and my gifted endorsement.

Find the Error - Law of Exponents
This is an activity that I use after teaching the properties of exponents. It can be used as a review for the test or as one of the tiered activities in a differentiated lesson. It really makes the kids think because it is not just rote practice. They have to understand the laws of exponents in order to find the mistake presented. There are also practice problems for each exponent property.

Parent Functions Interactive Notes
This includes linear, quadratic, cubic, absolute value, square root, and rational functions. There are graphs and notes on each function. The notes for each function include domain, range, interval of increase or decrease, extrema, end behavior, x intercept, y intercept, rate of change, and symmetry.

Geometry Interactive Notes
These interactive notes have been extremely helpful to my students! They use them constantly to refer back to throughout the year!! Included are definitions and examples for the different types of angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, pyramids, prisms, nets of pyramids and prisms, cross sections of three dimensional figures, perimeter, area, surface area, and volume.

Geometry Task Cards
This is a set of 36 task cards covering 7th grade common core math concepts involving geometry. In the set, there are computation problems, conceptual problems, and problem solving problems. My students love this alternative way of practicing and discussing math. It leads to some very rich discussions!
If you bought my Geometric Genius Board Game, don't buy this because it has a lot of the same questions.

Find the Error - Geometry
This is an activity that I created for my students to find the mistake in the geometry problems that were solved incorrectly. I used common errors when creating this to help them see the mistakes commonly made. This would also be a great geometry review activity before the geometry test. All of my products are common core aligned. I had the students work alone to solve the problems first, and then share with their groups. I use a variety of teaching strategies in my class. Projects, games, and interactive activities are just a few of the strategies I use. DIFFERENTIATION IS KEY!!!!

I taught in elementary and middle schools for 30 years. The last seven years I was instructional lead teacher. More recently, I have gotten certified as a behavior therapist working with autistic children.
This has lead me to write and publish books that I searched for and could not find.
