Differentiation equals success for all. Not every student learns at the same rate and has the same abilities. Learning can occur at many different levels, and it is vital that all students grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. I offer different levels of tasks and assessments to ensure success for all students and make myself available to help in any way possible. I will continue to research and create new and better ways of allowing my students to reach their full potential and am always seeking innovative ways to help students succeed in my classroom. Not only do I want them to be successful, but I want them to enjoy learning along the way.
I model the importance of education by constantly furthering my education as well. I am proud to have earned a marketing degree, an early childhood education degree, a middle grades education degree, a master’s degree in early childhood education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and my gifted endorsement.

Would You Rather? Real World Percentage Task Cards
This set of real world task cards includes twelve different situations that are presented where the students will use percentages to calculate both scenarios to help them decide which is mathematically better. This is a great activity to get students up and moving around the room. The task cards can be printed out and posted around the room. Students can then randomly go to problems to solve. Going in a random order allows students to move at their own pace.

Find the Error Activities for the Year - 7th Grade Math End of Grade Test Review
This is a book of all of my 7th grade Find the Error activities. In these activities, students are asked to analyze problems that have been answered incorrectly, find the mistake, and work the problem correctly. The Murder of Al Gebra: an equation murder mystery

Characteristics of Parent Functions
I looked all over for a chart that shows the characteristics of the parent functions and did not come up with anything that included everything I needed so I created this chart. It is six pages with each parent function on a separate page. The Book of ABC Alliterations
This is a funny must have book of alliterations. An alliteration is a collection of words that share the same beginning sound. Each letter of the alphabet is showcased on its own page in this enjoyable book. As you read each humorous page, you will see the thoughtfully designed illustration that brings it alive. These 16 task cards include questions on calculating tax, tip, and commission. Questions range in difficulty from basic percent calculations to more difficult problems such as determining total bill when including tax and tip as well as how much a store needs to sale in order to make a certain percent commission. I use a variety of teaching strategies in my class. Projects, games, and interactive activities are just a few of the strategies I use. DIFFERENTIATION IS KEY!!!!

I taught in elementary and middle schools for 30 years. The last seven years I was instructional lead teacher. More recently, I have gotten certified as a behavior therapist working with autistic children.
