Teaching style

🧠 I believe learning should feel achievable and fun. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into bite-sized steps, using visuals and scaffolding to support language learners. I also love using games, puzzles, and real-life examples to keep students engaged — especially when it comes to maths and grammar!

Awards & shining teacher moments

🏅 One of my proudest teaching moments was seeing a group of newly arrived students confidently present their work in English at the end of term — after weeks of thinking they couldn’t do it. Watching students grow and believe in themselves is what keeps me going. Every small “aha!” moment is a win!

My own education history

🎓 I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education and Arts from the University of Sydney, with a focus on teaching Chinese and Mathematics, and a Master of Education from the University of New South Wales, specializing in teaching EAL/D students. I am constantly learning and improving through professional development and hands-on classroom experience.

Additional biographical information

✨ When I’m not teaching or creating learning resources (which I’ve been doing for nearly 7 years!), you’ll probably find me at the climbing gym, in a CrossFit class, or editing videos for my YouTube channel. I love making things — whether it's worksheets, websites, or sweet treats — and I’m always looking for fun, fresh ideas to bring into the classroom.
