I created this set for 6th grade and Pre-AP students. Your students will be interpreting box plots and identifying the parts of a box plot. This could be used in 7th or 8th grade to refresh their previous knowledge. This is a DESMOS activity on Box Plots (11 questions). This is self checking and has automatic feedback for students. They can resubmit their responses as many times as needed. Students will be: *matching vocabulary terms with definitions *matching data sets with corresponding box

This is a Dot Plot (line plot) DESMOS activity with 18 questions. Students will use dot plots to identify the shape, center, and spread of the data set. They will also create a dot plot when given a frequency table and summarize its characteristics. This activity is self-checking and students can resubmit their answers when they get a problem incorrect. Once a problem is submitted they will see either a correct or a try again. Teaching style
In my classes my students do loads of stations and group work. They know after they have been taught a new concept they are going to apply the knowledge in different ways. They typically work in groups doing online activities/around the rooms/ and independent assesssments.
My own education history
I have a BA in Psychology. I originally planned to go into school counseling. Once I hit the classroom and I had my own students I couldn't think of anything else I'd rather do.

I have 2 children in elementary and love to create things for them to learn and practice with so I will post anything I create for them on TPT also.
