Experience

I have been teaching 8th and 9th grade math for 19 years. I have taught in the resource classes and have also done inclusion in the general education classes. What I discovered is that a LOT of students struggle in math, not just students with learning disabilities. It is difficult to find math curriculum designed to help these students, so I created my own!

Teaching style

I like high structure and strong student relationships! Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students "get" math and hate it a little bit less :).

Additional biographical information

I HATED math when I was in school, which is why I wanted to work with students who struggled with math. I have spent many years and many hours task analyzing the best way to break down math concepts in a way that students can understand and be successful.
