A favorite activity in my school which combines hands-on/ cooperative learning with mathematics. A number of variations make this activity adaptable to multiple grade levels. Everyone makes mistakes and has a bad day. The important thing is to learn from those mistakes. I used this for over ten years in my class to train the students to look back over their papers. The students who took advantage of the policy saw their grades increase as well as their math proficiency. I saw my end of year test scores increase. It was a win-win!
