This set of guided notes is a fun way to teach your students the musical applications of transformations of sinusoidal functions. This is a PowerPoint presentation on the properties of modular arithmetic. This is a perfect tool for a college discrete mathematics class. This presentation is best used in a lecture setting where you still want the students to be actively participating. Proofs for the rules of modular addition and modular multiplication are provided, but students are guided to make conjectures through exploration first. A brief review of divisibility is also provided.

Students will make a "tree" out of various supplies and try to put as many "acorns" in the tree as possible. To earn more supplies, students can answer squirrel- related math questions correctly.
