This is a PowerPoint presentation on the properties of modular arithmetic. This is a perfect tool for a college discrete mathematics class. This presentation is best used in a lecture setting where you still want the students to be actively participating. Proofs for the rules of modular addition and modular multiplication are provided, but students are guided to make conjectures through exploration first. A brief review of divisibility is also provided.

This product can be used in a classroom or as a mini take-home project! Students will use a compass and straightedge to make art out of parallel lines, congruent angles, perpendicular bisectors, and angle bisectors. Rubric is included!

This is a getting to know you survey to give to students at the beginning of the year! It asks about their likes, strengths, goals, and more. I have personally found this to be a great tool to build relationships with and to use to help gear my instruction to best meet the needs of my students. It is editable in case there are things you need to change for your class. It is currently geared to a math class but can very easily be edited for any class.

This is a project where students create their own number system! I used this with my 8th grade class after I taught them about numbers in different bases and other number systems, such as the Mayan and Roman number systems. Students create their own slide show to present with the class and are given specific directions on what to include in the slideshow. A rubric for grading is included.
