Megilla Math

A template to help students become familiar using the quadratic formula. I put the template in plastic sleeves so students can wipe it clean after each completed problem. NOTE!! This template is also available in a multi-page version (named "Quadratic Formula Template - 4 to a page") which is also free.

Factor pairs for 1-100. Can be given for students to fill out and use when factoring. For struggling students, give the version that is partially complete or fully complete.

This is a supplement to my full-page Quadratic Formula Template (free). The template has been scaled down so students can fit more problems on a page. I use the full size template in plastic sleeves so they can be reused. However, this size is useful for sending home with students who don't finish in class.

Students convert scenarios to algebraic expressions, create an equation from pairs of expressions and solve. Includes four separate scenarios, a worksheet for students to work out each expression pair/equation, an exit quiz, and the answer key for all parts.

Students will sort the 24 shapes as Regular vs. Irregular Polygons as well as Convex vs. Concave Polygons. In addition, there are some shapes that are Not Polygons. Activity could be modified to sort the shapes using only one pair of columns and have multiple shapes in each box.

This series of slides are like "flash cards" to help students fill in the missing pieces of the quadratic formula. I usually introduce each slide by saying "Look, but don't say. Find what's missing." Then ask for a choral response from the class. By the end, the students are surprised by how much they remember.
