Polygon Sort
Students will sort the 24 shapes as Regular vs. Irregular Polygons as well as Convex vs. Concave Polygons. In addition, there are some shapes that are Not Polygons.
Activity could be modified to sort the shapes using only one pair of columns and have multiple shapes in each box.

Experience

Teaching style
I no longer follow a specific textbook. Instead, I teach using topical units. Most class periods focus on a particular topic rather than a book section. The topics increase in complexity and build upon one another toward a culminating unit assessment.
