Goal: Learn about the major events in Earth’s history by creating a timeline of events. Students will form a basic knowledge of the changes that have occurred throughout Earth’s history. Materials: 1 Strip of paper Ruler Pencil (NO PEN) (Optional) Colored Pencils Students use the information to complete a timeline. My students loved making a timeline and putting the information in order. There is a warm up activity attached as well.

Students need to use either a textbook or they can search up the scientists involved with Cell Theory in order to make a timeline of information. They are tasked with: "Create your timeline using the materials provided. If you have another creative idea, let me know, and we can discuss your idea." In this 2 paged worksheet, students first need to read an adapted article about a relationship between plants and ants. This reinforces ecological concepts about mutualisms as well as discusses the many different roles photosynthesis plays in a plant.
