About the store
The Mindblue Education Store is produced by the Mindblue Education team led by Ryan Goble Ed.D and Pam Goble Ed.D. Our NCTE/Free Spirit Press book, "Making Curriculum Pop," serves as the foundation for many of our materials. Inspired by Ryan's work with pop culture and education, our store offers innovative, interdisciplinary resources that make curriculum engaging and relevant for today's students. With over 60 years of combined classroom experience in K-12 and higher education, we specialize in creating experiences that "pop" for learners in formal and informal settings. Our work has been featured in Education Week, The New York Times Learning Network, and various academic journals. We've collaborated with major institutions including NASA, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Virgin Records. Ryan has worked with cultural figures like Anderson Cooper, Robin Williams, Julianne Moore, and Ice-T to bring real-world connections into the classroom.

Teaching style

Our educational philosophy is simple: the time students spend in school should be engaging and fun, as positive and collaborative experiences that drive achievement, attainment, and satisfaction. We believe in making learning relevant through interdisciplinary connections and pop culture integration. Our resources are designed to develop critical thinking, media literacy, and 21st-century skills while addressing core academic standards. Our goal is to create a collaborative, student-centered approach that encourages creativity and real-world problem-solving. By connecting curriculum to students' lives and interests, we aim to create learning experiences that are not only effective but also enjoyable and memorable. Ryan says, "There's no reason school should be boring. There are too many things to connect, to see and do."

Additional biographical information

Our work spans K-12 and higher education, with a focus on integrating popular culture, media literacy, and interdisciplinary learning across the curriculum. We're energized by helping teachers create engaging, and relevant learning experiences that prepare students for the complex, media-rich world they'll inherit. Besides teaching at the K-12 level and college, Ryan's background includes roles in the entertainment industry, such as marketing at Virgin Records, DJing at NPR in Detroit, and production work at E! Entertainment Television. This unique blend of education and media experience informs our approach to creating engaging, culturally relevant curriculum materials. Pam's extensive experience includes over 30 years as a middle school teacher and 20 years in higher education, bringing a wealth of practical classroom knowledge to our resources.
