Travonnie serves as the RtI Coordinator at KIPP Vision Academy. She previously taught math and science at Hapeveille Elementary School in Fulton County and she was the founding 5th grade Math teacher at KIPP Vision. At both schools, she represented her grade level on the leadership team and had a significant role in school policies and procedures.
She began her career in education as a Teach for America corps member in metro Atlanta and continues to believe that one day, all children in America will have access to a quality education.

Teaching style
Travonnie loves to sing and chant. She loves to develop time-saving, fun management routines. She loves self-managing centers and stations. She loves using funny accents and voices to keep her scholars engaged. Overall, she loves making math fun!

Travonnie was chosen to create long term plans, end of year assessments, unit plans, lesson plans, quizzes and more for both Teach for America (Metro Atlanta) and the KIPP Foundation (nationally).
My own education history
Travonnie has a B.B.A. in Marketing from Howard University and an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education with a P-5 mathematics endorsement from Georgia State University.
