Modeling the Digestive System
In this lab students will use household items to recreate the digestive system. Parts included are the mouth, stomach, and intestines. Effect of Gravity on Speed Lab
In this lab, students will change the height of a ramp to affect the speed of a marble. Students observe that the higher the ramp, the faster the speed of the marble. Students may use this lab to review how to find speed, creating a line graph, and the scientific method. The lab ends with writing a concluding paragraph. A partial answer key is included.

I will try just about any method to keep my students engaged and excited to learn. If they leave my classroom with more awareness of the world around them and the ability to think for themselves, I have been successful.
